Pokemon Pinball Yellow Rom

... O Toulouse-Oil: I'm in love! From

This summer I found a nice bottle of 25 liters of peanut oil to a major brand that I will not, at the exit of a restaurant. Stroke of luck, the scavengers did not want to do! It's been a while since I was eyeing on this kind of container, but all I saw were more or less damaged, smashed ... It was in a condition for recycling.

So I took advantage of my stay in Burgundy in early September to complete the transformation. Lid removed, tweaked hole, blackened inside, skirt for protection against intrusion of light ... here's the beast!
It can receive sheets of 40 x 50 cm if you want a horizontal framing, or 30 x 40 cm with a vertical frame, which gives good-sized negatives you will agree!

The use of paper to such heights is not only for financial reasons. The resulting image has nothing to do with a negative result of the paper poses in a little box and it is truly an image is sufficient to itself! The transformation into a more positive did not mandatory, the image can be presented together or be subjected to a bend, it will in any way unique, because unless the scanner in small pieces - with all the problems generated by this type of practice - it will not even be possible to enlarge numerically. The test images that I offer are therefore repros. made with a digital camera. Due to the low resolution screens, so you can not expect to find on the tests that I present all the details visible on the originals.

This way of creating images also highlights another parameter, the choice of paper. To should test all existing papers as is done with a film to see what she can give in the circumstances. My previous uses of paper were made in order to obtain negatives so I developed a negative or dreamed a dream more dilute paper, the first test with the pinhole oil so to get a finished image, show that the various brands papers are not equivalent including sensitivity and I have noted in particular that the greens were very hard to impress the various papers to grade or multigrade and in particular the Berger grade 2 is almost insensitive to these radiations . Usually translated the sensitivity of paper for use in daylight, as it gives values to register on the meter between 3 and 6 iso. With regard to the Shepherd, 45 minutes of posing in front of trees by choosing 4 Iso can get ... a blank! It must go down to 1.5 iso to get a picture in which the green light (so close to yellow) are poorly translated and then only if they are in full sun. Ilford multigrade is itself much more "flexible" course remain red for all papers radiation the most efficient but spend a lot more greens and overall sensibility is found to be about 5 Iso.

I literally fell in love with my bottle of oil and what it achieves. Certainly it is a little bulky, but it is light, then it can easily carry around. I think it will go with me for the weekend of pinhole organizes Manifest'O 3-4 October in Toulouse, where Pierre-Olivier Boulant invited me.
