In both real and symbolic, the four elements are part of science as well as the culture that we feed from the Greek philosophers.
Necessary for Life, these four elements are sometimes a malevolent aspect.
No water and desert invaded the planet, too much water and floods destroy everything!
Mother Earth can have earthquakes devastate cities and the countryside;
The fire heats up and allows food to cook, but burns millions of square kilometers of forest
Air is necessary to humans, animals and plants, but hurricanes, tornadoes and other storms are to fly to other climes.
Since the Renaissance in particular, whether in the etching, painting or literature, these four elements and their fragile balance has attracted the interest of many artists who have produced works both figurative or allegorical.
's your turn now to create a modern pinhole vision of these four elements! You can treat
:
- Four elements in four images (one element = one image)
- Two images of four elements (one element = 2 images)
- An element in four images.
